The European Parliament has recognised Russian attempts to distort historical documents to justify its war of aggression against Ukraine as baseless and called on the EU to extend sanctions against Russian media outlets that spread such disinformation.

After Ukraine halted the transit of Russian gas to Europe, gas supplies to European Union states have been ensured through alternative routes via Germany and Italy, as well as by withdrawing gas from storage facilities.

Andrii Sybiha, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, believes that by halting the transit of Russian gas to EU states, Ukraine has deprived Russia of one of its last tools of influence over Europe.
