90% of Ukrainians support joining EU, 73% support joining NATO

The vast majority of Ukrainians are in favor of Ukraine joining the EU and NATO.

The survey was conducted by the National Democratic Institute and the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

"Ukrainians are united in their wishes and expectations for joining the European Union and NATO. 90% of respondents at the national level want Ukraine to become an EU member. East and South show the lowest figures - 84%. The desire to join NATO supports the majority of respondents - 73% at the national level," the report states.

The National Democratic Institute in Ukraine developed and conducted a nationwide survey. The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted fieldwork from May 2 to May 11, 2022, using the computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) method with 2,500 completed interviews.

The survey was conducted with adult (aged 18 and older) citizens of Ukraine who lived in Ukraine and had a cell phone at the time of the survey.
