France to Help with Mine Clearance in Chernihiv Region
The French government is ready to help Ukraine clear the Chernihiv Region of the landmines and will provide its specialists and equipment for this purpose.
Viacheslav Chaus, the head of Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration Viacheslav said so after a meeting with representatives of the French Embassy in Ukraine.
"The French government is ready to help both in direct mine clearance with the involvement of its specialists and equipment, and to help train Ukrainian specialists, specifically in mine clearance of water bodies," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
Participants of the meeting also discussed the possibility of assistance from the French government in the process of mine clearance in the liberated territories and the creation of DNA laboratories to identify the dead people.
In July, the French Foreign Ministry announced the transfer of a mobile laboratory for rapid DNA analysis to Ukraine during the investigation of Russian war crimes.
