Russia Bears Full Responsibility for Further Functioning of the "Grain Corridor" - MFA

Upon the cargo ship's arrival with Ukrainian grain at the Turkish port, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated that full responsibility for the further functioning of the "grain corridor" rests with Russia.

The POLARNET cargo ship, one of the first vessels under a deal on the safe transportation of grain and food products from Ukrainian ports, successfully passed inspection in Istanbul and arrived at its final destination in Turkey.

"Arrival of the first vessel with Ukrainian grain to the Turkish port is a message of hope for every family in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia: Ukraine will not abandon you. We have always been, we are, and we will be a reliable supplier of agricultural products. Unlike Russia, we do not play the "Hunger Games," MFA quotes Kuleba.

"Full responsibility for the further functioning of the "grain corridor" rests with Russia," he added.

"If it holds on to its obligations, Ukrainian food exports will continue to guarantee stability for our Middle Eastern, African, and Asian friends," the minister emphasized.

"POLARNET vessel is among the first to use the "grain corridor" thereby opening the way for all other vessels," Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, said.

In late July, Ukraine, Türkiye, the UN, and Russia signed a "grain deal" to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain by sea.

President Erdoğan believes the "grain deal" will bring the war's end in Ukraine closer.
