IAEA Mission Arrives at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant
Inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived on Thursday at the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
A Reuters reporter saw the IAEA team arrive at the plant in a large convoy with a lot of Russian military nearby.
Energoatom also confirmed the mission's arrival at the ZNPP on its Telegram channel.
The delegation was delayed after reports of fighting earlier on Thursday.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated that the Russian army jeopardized the visit of the IAEA mission.
The IAEA mission left Zaporizhzhia for the nuclear power plant in occupied Enerhodar in the morning, despite reports of intense shelling.
Energoatom reported that operating unit 5 at ZNPP has been automatically shut down due to Russian attacks.
