On Monday, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.

"Discussed with Minister Dmytro Kuleba encouraging advances of Ukraine counteroffensive to regain its territorial integrity.

EU support will continue unabated, our strategy works: help Ukraine to fight back, pressure Russia with sanctions and support partners around the world," wrote Borrell on Twitter.

"Josep Borrell called me to express his admiration and respect for Ukraine’s defense forces as they liberate more territories from Russian occupation. He explored further ways for the EU to help Ukraine and bring peace closer. I requested weapons, sanctions, and financial aid," Kuleba responded.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting a successful counteroffensive on the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. Some Western politicians called for increased military aid to Ukraine based on its counteroffensive.

Earlier, White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, said that Ukraine is waging a fierce struggle to liberate its territories, and condemned Russia's missile attacks on energy infrastructure.
