Kuleba Disappointed with Berlin's Position on Tanks: "Not a Single Rational Argument"
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that he does not see any rational arguments in Berlin's reluctance to supply Ukraine with tanks.
"Disappointing signals from Germany while Ukraine needs Leopards and Marders now — to liberate people and save them from genocide. Not a single rational argument on why these weapons can not be supplied, only abstract fears and excuses. What is Berlin afraid of that Kyiv is not?" Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, the Welt outlet reported that Scholz had declined the request by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to supply additional heavy weapons, including Leopard 2 tanks, in particular.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz who represents the Social Democratic Party of Germany stood against providing Ukraine with the Western tanks, indicating that even big NATO partners were not supplying tanks directly, and that Germany did not want to do it alone.
After this statement, the US Embassy noted that Germany itself must decide what type of assistance to provide Ukraine.
