President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau held a conversation and discussed the situation on the frontline, as well as at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

"Talked with Justin Trudeau. Discussed the situation at the front, the importance of greater security support for Ukraine, the post-war recovery plan, the partners' aid, the situation at ZNPP - we must stop Russia's nuclear terrorism. Thanked Canada for a crucial help in energy sphere," Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

"The Canadian government following the conversation stated that Trudeau welcomed the gains that Ukrainian soldiers have made recently and the need for increased support as winter approaches. The leaders strongly condemned Russia’s increasingly persistent, indiscriminate, and horrific attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine," reads the statement of the Canadian government.

"I let him know that Canada remains committed to working with partners to address the broader global impacts of Russia’s illegal invasion, and we’ll both continue to work with other leaders to make sure Ukrainians have the support they need," Trudeau wrote on Twitter.

Trudeau also expressed concern about the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
