Ambassador Rated Level of U.S. Support for Ukraine's NATO Accession
The Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, believes that the United States is realistic about the prospect of Ukraine joining NATO, but there is still no unity in the Alliance regarding this.
"Today, I cannot say the United States is skeptical. I can say it is realistic. The United States supports Ukraine in our Euro-Atlantic aspirations, but the United States values transatlantic unity very much. Therefore, realizing there are no unity and no one hundred percent votes, they took the position they did," Markarova stated in an interview with "European Pravda."
She emphasized: if Ukraine continues to work with all its partners, accession will happen sooner or later.
"Furthermore, I think that these 215 days (of war. - Ed.) have shown what Ukraine can give to NATO... We have a lot to offer to NATO," the ambassador emphasized.
Markarova also confirmed that the United States did not set any restrictions on Ukraine's strikes with the American weapons on Crimea.
