Ukrainian MFA Denies the Departure of Ambassador from Kazakhstan at the Request of Authorities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied the information of the Kremlin media that the ambassador of Ukraine to Kazakhstan, Petro Vrublevsky, left the country at the request of the authorities.
"The Ambassador of Ukraine to Kazakhstan is currently on planned annual leave, the terms of which were agreed in advance in accordance with existing procedures," Oleg Nikolenko, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said to "European Pravda"
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported the Ukrainian ambassador will return to perform his professional duties in Kazakhstan after his vacation.
The Kremlin's TASS agency, citing an unnamed source, reported on Thursday that Vrublevsky had left Kazakhstan at the request of the country's authorities.
In late August, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan summoned the ambassador of Ukraine and protested because of his remarks about Russians.
The ambassador Dmytro Vrublevsky said in an interview with Kazakh blogger Dias Kuzairov on August 21: "We are trying to kill as many of them as possible. The more we kill Russians now, the fewer our children will have to kill."
The video became viral in the Kremlin media and social networks. Pro-Russian organizations in Kazakhstan even demanded the ambassador be declared persona non grata.
Currently, the interview with the ambassador on Kuzairov's Youtube channel does not contain this phrase. He probably uploaded the shortened version after the scandal.
The Ukrainian Ambassador to Kazakhstan apologized for his words about Russians on September 5.
