Friday, 9 September 2022

Latvian President Egils Levits visits Kyiv.

"Today, I am in Kyiv to assure Volodymyr Zelensky of Latvia's continued strong support to Ukraine until victory in this war. Latvia is your advocate. Latvia will help in the reconstruction effort. Slava Ukraini," President Egils Levits wrote on Twitter.

A photo of Levits with Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, whose arrival was announced earlier, also appeared on the accounts of Polish diplomatic missions.

As previously reported, Mateusz Morawiecki called on the European Commission to pay Ukraine the promised 9 billion euros, saying that the EU aid is insufficient.
