Ukrainian Embassy Investigates Situation with Ukrainians at Estonian Border
The Embassy of Ukraine to Estonia, in cooperation with Estonian authorities, is clarifying the situation with Ukrainians who are trying to leave Russia for Estonia, standing in queues at the border on the Russian side.
"The Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia works with competent Estonian authorities to clarify the situation with Ukrainian citizens on the Russian-Estonian border. The matter of the departure of Ukrainians from Russia is under special control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state bodies of Ukraine," Oleg Nikolenko, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on Twitter.

Ukrainians have rushed to the EU border after the sham referendums, forming huge queues at the borders of the Russian Federation with Latvia and Estonia. They have to wait for several days to leave Russia. Estonian border guards explain the long queues through the actions of the Russian side.
On October 5, the head of the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the "disappearance" of about a thousand people from the Russian side of the border, noting that they were taken somewhere by trucks.
The Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine reported that the Russian Federation does not let out citizens of Ukraine who have Russian passports.
