The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summons the ambassador of Hungary in connection with Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who appeared in public, wearing a scarf with a map of "Greater Hungary."

"The promotion of revisionist ideas in Hungary does not contribute to the development of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations. The Hungarian ambassador will be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and informed of the unacceptability of Viktor Orbán's act. We expect an official apology from the Hungarian side and a denial of the infringement of the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleh Nikolenko, wrote on Facebook.

As reported, the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, attended a friendly football match between the national teams of Hungary and Greece in Budapest with a scarf depicting the map of "Greater Hungary" with parts of neighbouring states - Austria, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, and Ukraine. The lands were part of the Kingdom of Hungary until the end of the First World War. The Kingdom of Hungary lost these lands on June 4, 1920 under the terms of the Treaty of Trianon.
