Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, said that the United States should announce a new military assistance package for Ukraine on Friday.

The minister said this during a briefing on 4 November.

According to Reznikov, Ukraine is currently developing an air defence system that includes not only missiles but also various types of small arms and anti-aircraft systems.

"Such a network over Ukraine should be created thanks to various systems. The Spanish government announced to hand over to us Hawk 23 systems. Our crews are completing the training," he said.

"I think we will hear about the announcement of another package of assistance to Ukraine from the United States today. President Biden will sign it, and we will hear good news," Reznikov said.

The minister noted that he knows about the good news but is waiting for an official announcement.

Earlier it was reported that the USA is also considering the possibility of handing over Hawk systems to Ukraine.
