Ukraine Works With Partners To Receive More Aid in Energy Sector
Following the order of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Ukraine, and in conjunction with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Ukrainian energetic company Ukrenergo and other profile institutions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continues to actively engage the partners’ equipment into restoring the energetic system.
"As of today, the aid consists of nearly 1,000 transformers of different capacity, over 100 auto transformers, about 5,000 gas and diesel generators with the capacity of up to 100 Kilowatt, almost 500 generators with a bigger capacity, almost 5,000 km of cable as well as thousands of spare parts for repairing the electric system, hundreds of heat guns and heaters. We continue to cooperate with our partners to engage even more aid," Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said at an online briefing on Tuesday, 20 December.
He reported that the Prime Minister of Ukraine is handling the operative coordination of this process. "We have received a new instruction concerning who has what and where they have it, and what should be brought to Ukraine. We are already working on this portion of the aid," Kuleba assured the public.
He added that no modern national energetic system faced as many challenges as the Ukrainian energetic system does.
He also reported that Ukraine is getting ready to take official steps in order to prove that Russia’s membership in the UN Security Council is illegal.
