Hundreds of Generators and Transformers: Ukraine's MFA Updates on New Aid of "Energy Coalition"
Ukraine has reached agreements on the supply of transformers and generators with European countries over the past two weeks. It was necessary to maintain the functioning of the energy system affected by Russian attacks.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba announced this on his Instagram on Wednesday.
"The President of Ukraine in all corners of the world gathers equipment to restore Ukraine's energy system after Russian air strikes. A big energy coalition is working to help Ukraine today," Kuleba wrote.
According to him, Ukraine has agreed upon the following:
7 autotransformers from the governments of Lithuania, Ireland, and Poland;
543 generators of 100 kW from Germany, Norway, Spain;
24 transformers from Finland;
45 transformers from Azerbaijan;
19 powerful generators from Israel.
"We are grateful to our friends for their help! Together we will get through this tough winter and overcome Russian terror," the minister said.

As previously reported, Western partners struggle to help Ukraine rebuild its energy system since some of the items used in Western countries are incompatible with Ukraine, as they are designed to work on different frequency grids.
The German Federal Agency for Technical Assistance (THW) has sent 355 aid vehicles from Germany to Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The organisation has procured around 480 power generators and has already delivered 196 of them to Ukraine to stabilise its energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.
