Georgia's Prime Minister Rules Out Military Assistance to Ukraine
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili has stated again that official Tbilisi was not going to provide military aid to Ukraine.
"Regarding military assistance, we made it clear and said unequivocally that we will not do it. As a state, we will never get involved in this war. This is our clear position," "Novosti-Georgia" cites Iraklii Garibashvili.
He added that the government of Georgia has already sent a lot of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The country also accepts Ukrainians fled the war and gave children the opportunity to learn Ukrainian.
"As for additional humanitarian aid, we will take a look again and find a way to support," the prime minister added.
December 6, the temporary charge d'affaires of Ukraine to Georgia, Andrii Kasianov, said that Tbilisi has been ignoring Kyiv's requests for help suffering an energy crisis after Russian shelling for a month. In response, Georgia's ruling party declared they had heard about it for the first time.
