The next Ukraine-EU summit will take place in Kyiv on February 3, 2023, not in Brussels, as was supposed.

As the statement of the President's Office reads, the decision was based on the phone conversation between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.

"The parties discussed expected results of the next Ukraine-EU summit to be held on February 3 in Kyiv and agreed to intensify preparatory work," the statement reads.

According to the Association Agreement, the Ukraine-EU summit is an annual event. The previous one, the 23rd summit, took place in October 2021 in Kyiv.

The 2022 summit was planned for December and was supposed to be in Brussels. The Ukrainian side preliminary announced its holding. However, it was decided to postpone the summit to early 2023.

According to the sources of "European Pravda," among the reasons for the postponement was the lack of real results of such a meeting. The EU side had problems until the last moment, even approving the macro-financial aid promised within the G7 framework worth 18 billion euros.

Earlier, the press office of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel Barend Leits, reported that the Ukraine-EU summit would be held in Brussels, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy received his invitation.
