EU Sanctions Proposal on Belarus "Mirror" Some Measures Applied to Russia - Media
The project of new sanctions on Belarus mostly copies the already applied sanctions to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
This was reported by Rikard Jozwiak, a correspondent of "Radio Liberty"
"The new EU sanctions proposal on Belarus is in many ways "mirroring" some measures already applied to Russia - such as ban to provide IT and consulting services and import ban on steel and gold.
"Just like the Russian sanctions there is a derogation when it comes to fertilisers and food," Jozwiak added.

Earlier, the EU said that Belarus should refrain from any further participation or assistance in Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine or it will face "new and strong restrictive measures."
The media also reported that the European Union had prepared a new sanction package against Belarus for its role in supporting a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
