Estonian Intelligence: Russia May Continue Massive Missile Attacks for More than Six Months
Given Russia's current ability to produce high-precision missiles, it could strike Ukraine, in the most pessimistic scenario, for another six to nine months.
According to Colonel Margo Grosberg, the head of the intelligence center of the Estonian Defence Forces, based on various estimates, Russian missile attacks could last from three to nine months.
"Our optimistic opinion is the next three to four months, or until spring, and a more pessimistic opinion, it will last six to nine months," ERR quotes Grosberg.
He points out that it depends on two factors.
"First, how much precision munitions Russia had before the war. That's about 2,500 missiles. Half to two-thirds have been used up. As the latest missile fragments indicate, Russia continues to produce missiles throughout the war in addition to those in warehouses," he explains.
Grosberg mentions that Russia has decreased the launching of high-precision missiles. In October, it was a three-digit number of missiles over Ukraine. From November onwards it was double digits.
According to analytical data, Russia managed to produce 65 more X-101 missiles in half a year.
"This shows that high-tech elements continue to flow into Russia," Grosberg said.
He does not rule out that Russia prudently received the necessary technological elements before the invasion.
"But this means that high-precision ammunition is being produced and will probably be produced for a very long time," Grosberg stated.
As reported, a German company could help develop the fuel for the fighters that had attacked Dnipro and Kremenchuk.
