Russian propaganda continues to promote lies about the alleged mass participation and huge losses among "Polish mercenaries" in the war in Ukraine.
"This topic is a constant element used in propaganda efforts in the Russian information space aimed at the Russian public," Stanislav Zharin, the government's Commissioner for the Security of Poland's Information Space, wrote on Twitter.

Zharin published screenshots of Russian news in which Alexey Podberezkin, a Kremlin political analyst, claimed massive losses among Polish volunteers. In particular, he suggested "sending the bodies of Poles from the contact line in Ukraine to the Polish Embassy in Moscow".
Meanwhile, 78% of Poles believe that the war in Ukraine threatens Poland's security. This number increased by 3% compared to the data a month ago.
