Bodies of Family from Zaporizhzhia Found under Rubble in Türkiye
The bodies of a family from Zaporizhzhia were found under the rubble of a house destroyed during an earthquake in the Turkish city of Antakya.
"They were found yesterday evening. They died. Their bodies will be brought here. We will bury them here. Embassy workers are dealing with these issues," Ukrinform quotes a relative of the deceased family, Serhii Petrov.
As reported, 46-year-old Iuliia Petrova and her two sons, Zakhar (10 years old) and Matvii (5 years old), had lived in Türkiye since April last year.
The father of the deceased, Serhii, spoke with his family for the last time on the evening of February 5. The earthquake struck Antakya at 4 a.m. on Monday, February 6.
Following the week of the rescue phase, more than 8,000 people were rescued from the rubble (Ukr).
At the same time, the death toll in Türkiye is approaching 32 thousand.
