European Commission President Arrives in Kyiv for EU-Ukraine Summit
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has arrived in Kyiv to take part in the EU-Ukraine summit.
"It is a pleasure to return to Kyiv, for the fourth time since the Russian invasion. This time with my team of Commissioners," She wrote this on Twitter.
"We are here together to show that the EU supports Ukraine as firmly as before. And to further deepen our support and cooperation," von der Leyen added.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell also came to Kyiv.
"I arrived in Kyiv to send the strongest signal of support from the EU to all Ukrainians who defend their country," he wrote on Twitter.
"EU aid has reached 50 billion euros since the beginning of the Russian war. Europe was united with Ukraine from the beginning. And it will stand with you until victory and recovery," he added.

Earlier, it was reported that leaders of the European Union at the summit in Kyiv won't promise that Ukraine would be able to join the bloc soon.
The EU-Ukraine summit will be held in the Ukrainian capital on 3 February. On the eve of the meeting, consultations will be held between the European Commission and the Ukrainian government.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says the central issue of the EU-Ukraine summit will be an assessment of the progress that Ukraine has already made, and the subsequent opening of accession negotiations, as well as many other topics related to Russia's war against Ukraine.
After the meeting, the leaders will confirm in writing that the future of Ukraine and its citizens relate to the European Union. But actually, the perspective of Ukraine's accession to the EU remains remote.
