60 PT-91 Tanks to Be in Ukraine in a Few Days — Morawiecki
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said that his country will soon hand over the rest of the promised Leopard tanks to Ukraine, in addition, 60 PT-91 Twardy tanks will arrive in Ukraine in a few days.
Morawiecki reminded at a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv that Ukrainian troops are currently undergoing very intensive training in Poland.
"Our instructors are very impressed by how quickly Ukrainian tankers master modern tanks," he said.
"We can hand over our next Leopard tanks very soon. Also in a few days, we will hand over very good PT-91 tanks and the next 60 tanks will arrive in Ukraine," Morawiecki said.
In addition, he mentioned his conversation with the Prime Minister of Denmark, who also considers sending tanks, and contacts with the Prime Ministers of Sweden and Finland, as well as the Chancellor of Germany on this matter.
Morawiecki also expressed his satisfaction that Spain will also join the tank coalition, saying that "although Spain is far away but well acquainted with what is happening in this part of the world."
On Friday, Poland announced that its first Leopard tanks had been delivered to Ukraine.
