Polish Sejm Does Not Expect Zelenskyy to Meet with Biden and Duda
The meeting of the presidents of Poland, the US, and Ukraine is unlikely to happen during US President Joe Biden's visit to Poland, expected in late February.
"Nothing indicates that [the possible meeting of presidents will happen – ed.] at the moment. I have to be honest, if this was going to happen, we wouldn't be talking about it now," Ukrinform quotes Radosław Fogiel, Chairman of the Polish Sejm Committee on Foreign Affairs.
The politician hopes for greater involvement of the United States and allies in military assistance to Ukraine from Biden's visit to Poland, which will help end the war faster.
"After all, many people, including those in the Capitol, say that the strategy of ‘drop by drop: giving tanks and then something else’ is basically just making the war last longer," Fogiel said.
He believes that during Biden's visit, many conversations will be devoted to the July NATO summit in Vilnius and to strengthening the Alliance's eastern flank.
Previously, NBC reported on 7 February that Biden is likely to visit Poland in late February, around the anniversary of the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
Earlier, the Office of the President of Poland had confirmed that US President Joe Biden is planning a visit to the country "in the near future".
