Zelenskyy Arrives in Brussels to Address the European Parliament and for EU Summit

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Brussels accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has published a photo of the meeting with the presidents of Ukraine and France on her Twitter.

Zelenskyy and Macron arrived together in Brussels from Paris, where the day before they had a joint dinner with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

It is expected that in Brussels, Zelenskyy will participate in the EU summit and address the European Parliament. The latter was confirmed by the head of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.

"A historic day for Europe. Proud to announce that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be at the European Parliament this morning. To address the peoples of Europe from the House of European Democracy," she wrote on Twitter.

The day before, Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid an unannounced visit to London, where he spoke at Westminster, met with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and King Charles III, and visited the Ukrainian military at training.

As reported, during a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday evening, Zelenskyy confirmed Ukraine's request for heavy weapons and fighter jets.
