First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Gia Volski, has said that the supporters of former President Mikheil Saakashvili, who fought in Ukraine, are returning to the country to push the youth towards a revolutionary scenario.

"It is safe to say that a certain group of Saakashvili's supporters, supporters of "National Movement" came from Ukraine. These are fighters who will try, using young energy, not to take this revolutionary process off the agenda," "Echo of the Caucasus" cited Volski, one of the "Georgian dream" leaders.

He added that "a certain group of youth" is trying to prevent the "development of political processes," pointing, in particular, at the leader of the "United National Movement," Levan Khabeishvili.

Previously, the media reported on the detention of fighter Nadim Khmaladze, who returned from Ukraine. He was detained on Freedom Square in Tbilisi on March 8 on charges of disobeying the police and hooliganism.

Khmaladze says he did not commit any crime. He was released from the pre-trial detention center and then Khmaladze spoke at a rally near the parliament. He urged the rally participants not to stop, adding that the withdrawal of the draft law on "foreign agents" should be followed by the "revocation" of the current government.

As reported, on March 10, the Parliament of Georgia officially "killed" the draft law (Ukr) on "foreign agents," which caused mass protests.
