Ukraine's Foreign Minister Regrets That the Pope Never Made It to War-Torn Ukraine

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, regrets that Pope Francis has not yet visited Ukraine during the war.

According to BBC, the minister believes that Ukraine's strong negotiating position in potential future negotiations with the Russian Federation after the war ends involves building the strongest possible coalition of support, an alliance that he feels does not include the Pope.

Kuleba said it was not for him but for God to judge the Holy Father.

"We deeply regret that the Pope has not found an opportunity to visit Ukraine since the beginning of the war," he said.

As reported, Pope Francis stated that he was ready to visit Ukraine, but only if he visited Moscow after (Ukr).

He also said that he offered Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to come to the Vatican for an audience.
