Permanent Representatives of All EU Member States Visited Ukraine on March 30
Ambassadors, members of the Political and Security Committee (PSC) arrived in Ukraine on 30 March 2023.
The Committee is responsible for the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy and Common Security and Defense Policy.
According to "European Pravda" sources in EU structures, the purpose of this visit is to show EU's solidarity and continued unwavering support.
The visit was organised on the symbolic 400th day since the full-scale invasion.
Before visiting Ukraine, they spent two days in the field with the EU Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM), where they met Ukrainian soldiers following the EU military trainings in Germany and Poland.
On Thursday, according to various sources of EuroPravda, they met MPs, Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov, Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yevgen Perebyinis, Deputy Head of the President's Office Roman Mashovets. They also went to Borodianka.
This is the first visit of all 27 EU Member States to Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion.
Until February 24, 2022, there had never been such visits to Ukraine in full. Such away meetings of the committee are unusual events.
The EU remains committed to supporting Ukraine, in order to enable the country and its people to defend themselves against Russia’s unjustified war of aggression, the interlocutor of EuroPravda underlined.
On Friday, Stefanishyna published a photo of the results of the meeting and noted that the importance of timely military assistance to Ukraine and strategic cooperation for the development of European defence was discussed.
