Patriot Missile Systems from Two More Countries Arrived in Ukraine

Patriot anti-aircraft missile complexes from the USA and the Netherlands arrived in Ukraine, in addition to the German ones.

According to the first deputy defenсe minister of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pavliuk, the Patriot systems from these countries will help defend Ukraine against Russian cruise missiles and UAVs (uncrewed aerial vehicles).

Pavliuk has expressed his gratitude to the partners for significantly strengthening Ukraine's air defence.

Ahead of the delivery, Germany announced the shipment of Patriot missile systems to Ukraine (Ukr). Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov confirmed the arrival of the Patriot systems in Ukraine.

The United States first announced the transfer of Patriot Systems to Ukraine in December 2022 as part of a military aid package. The Netherlands also announced the supply of Patriot missile systems and missiles to Ukraine.

In late March, Ukrainian military personnel completed training on the Patriot missile systems (Ukr) in the United States earlier than expected.
