Defence Ministers of Iran, Syria and Türkiye to Meet in Moscow
Defence ministers and intelligence chiefs of Russia, Turkey, Iran and Syria will hold a joint meeting in Moscow on Tuesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said that the meeting is scheduled to be held in Moscow on April 25 as a continuation of the previous meeting in this format on December 28, 2022.
The heads of the intelligence and defence departments of Türkiye, Syria and Iran will also go to Moscow.
"Our aim is to solve the problems through negotiations and bring peace and tranquility to the region as soon as possible," Akar said.
He added that Türkiye is determined in the fight against terrorism and aims to ensure Syrians in Türkiye return to their land voluntarily, safely and with dignity.
The main topic of the meeting is likely to be the situation in Syria, where the interests of all four parties are involved.
