89% Of Ukrainians Positive Towards EU, 79% – Towards NATO

The vast majority of Ukrainians positively perceive the European Union and NATO among various international organisations.

According to the survey by the Razumkov Center, Ukrainians express the most positive attitude towards the European Union (89%) and NATO (79%). The United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the International Committee of the Red Cross follow them.

"Among international organisations and associations, the majority of respondents are positive regard the European Union - 89%, NATO - 79%, the United Nations - 70%, the International Monetary Fund - 64.5%, the International Committee of the Red Cross - 63%, the OSCE - 58%," Ukrinform quotes Andrii Bychenko, director of the sociological service of the Razumkov Center (the Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Studies named after Olexander Razumkov, a Ukrainian non-governmental public policy think tank).

In addition, according to the survey, 48% of citizens have a positive attitude towards the IAEA.

The opposite attitude prevails towards the CIS - 65% of respondents see it negatively.

A total of 2020 respondents aged 18 and over took part in the poll. Sampling error does not exceed 2.3%. Additional systematic sampling deviations may be caused by the effects of Russian aggression, including the forced evacuation of millions of Ukrainian citizens.

The poll was conducted in February–March 2023 by the Razumkov Centre Sociological Service across all of Ukraine, except on the Russian-occupied territory of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts, Crimea, and territories where hostilities are currently underway.

The All-Ukrainian survey of the International Republican Institute for March showed that the support for Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU among Ukrainians had increased to a record high level - 82% and 85%, respectively.
