CIA Director Held Closed-Door Briefing after Drone Attack on Kremlin
Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency, William Burns, held a closed-door briefing for US senators regarding the drone attack on the Kremlin.
"We still don't have much information. I think the committee expressed whatever intel we get, we need to hear it as soon as possible again from the agency director. At least at this point, no indication it was sourced by the Ukrainians," US Senator Mark Warner told CNN.
Earlier, the Kremlin's press service said that Ukrainian drones had "attempted to launch an attack" on the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin. The Kremlin called the attack a "planned terrorist action" and "an attempt on the life of the Russian president". Serhii Nykyforov, President Zelenskyy's spokesman, said that Ukraine had no information about the alleged night attacks on the Kremlin.
Following the attack, Medvedev called for the "physical elimination" of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his entourage.
French Foreign Minister, expressed concern over Russian Security Council Secretary Dmitry Medvedev's calls for the assassination of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a drone attack on the Kremlin.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell urged Russia not to use the alleged drone attack on the Kremlin as an excuse for further escalation of the war.
