Germany to Allocate Additional 381 Million Euros in Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine in 2023
In 2023, Germany will provide additional 381 million euro in humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
"This recovery starts with humanitarian support: Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional 381 million euro for humanitarian assistance in 2023 – for everything from generators to food and tents for those who have fled or lost their homes," German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock announced during her speech at the international conference on Ukraine's recovery in London, according to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Baerbock underlined the need to link Ukraine's recovery with the process of its EU accession.
"Our goal is to help rebuild a Ukraine that is "fit-for-EU". That’s why Ukraine's EU accession process will have a special place at next year’s Recovery Conference in Germany," said the German Minister of Foreign Affairs.
On June 21, the international Ukraine Recovery Conference kicked off in London.
Earlier, the United States announced $1.3 billion in financial assistance for Ukraine for energy and infrastructure needs.
