Polish Defence Minister Does Not Rule Out Provocations by Wagner
The Minister of Defence of Poland, Mariusz Błaszczak, does not rule out provocations by Wagner Group mercenaries who have crossed into Belarus following the attempted coup in Russia.
"Let us remember that we may be dealing with provocations by the Wagner Group," Błaszczak said in an interview with TVP Info.
He referred to the Wagner Group members as demoralised individuals with combat experience, making them very dangerous.
Błaszczak added that directives were issued to the services subordinate to the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, as well as the Minister of National Defence, during meetings of the Committee on Defence and the Committee on National Security of Poland.
Earlier, Poland decided to strengthen its border with Belarus due to the arrival of Wagner mercenaries from Russia in the neighbouring country.
