The Danish government plans to allocate 1.3 billion Danish kroner (about 170 million euros) for military support to Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Defence of Denmark, the assistance package includes air defence missiles, ammunition, demining equipment, and funds for the purchase of artillery shells.

"It is absolutely crucial that we continue our support to Ukraine. This is a significant and important donation that we have put together based, among other things, on Ukraine's wishes and needs, and it is intended to support Ukraine's ongoing defence against the Russian invading forces," said Acting Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen.

According to him, this assistance package sends an important signal that Denmark will stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary.

"Unfortunately, it appears that the war is dragging on, and with the numerous donations, we and our allies are sending a strong signal that we support the Ukrainians in the long run," summarised Troels Lund Poulsen.

Earlier, Germany reported another batch of military assistance delivered to Ukraine, including the TRML-4D air surveillance radar station.

The European Council adopted a decision increasing the overall financial ceiling of the European Peace Facility (EPF) by €3.5 billion euro, which is also used for military assistance to Ukraine.
