Polish Ministry of Defence Reacted to Reports of Joint Training of Wagner Mercenaries and Belarusian Army
The Polish Ministry of Defence has responded to reports of training involving Wagner Group mercenaries and the Belarusian army at a border training ground, stating that they are monitoring the situation, and the country's borders are secure.
According to Reuters, Poland's defence ministry said on Thursday that the country's borders were secure and that it was ready for "various scenarios as the situation develops".
On July 20th, the Belarusian Ministry of Defenсe announced the start of week-long military exercises with Belarusian special forces and members of the Wagner Group at the Brest military range, near the Polish border.
Last week, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that Wagner Group mercenaries were already present in Belarus and were being trained by the country's territorial defenсe forces.
The Lithuanian President previously reassured that Lithuania had sufficient means to respond to potential hostile actions by Wagner Group operatives from Belarusian territory.
