Security Measures Strengthened in Bulgaria's Capital in Anticipation of Zelenskyy’s Visit

Security measures have been strengthened in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, in anticipation of the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the bTV channel, the visit of Zelenskyy was also confirmed by Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov.

According to the Bulgarian Prime Minister, the Ukrainian president will arrive on a government plane.

"The programme includes a meeting between the two presidents," he said, answering, whether a meeting between Zelenskyy and pro-Russian Bulgarian President Rumen Radev was scheduled.

Security measures have been intensified in the city center, with a large number of law enforcement officers around government buildings.

Earlier, the Bulgarian media informed about Zelenskyy's visit to Sofia. The Defence Minister of Bulgaria, Todor Tagarev, confirmed the preparations for Zelenskyy's visit and expressed regret that the information was leaked.
