Germany Sent Patriot Missiles to Ukraine
Germany has sent Patriot air defence system missiles to Ukraine, among other military equipment, in the past week.
The German government's website reports that in the past week, Ukraine has received Patriot air defence system missiles from Germany, along with eight drone detection systems, 40 reconnaissance drones RQ-35 HEIDRUN, 16 Zetros trucks, and 510,000 rounds of ammunition for fire arms.
Additionally, the list of German weaponry planned for transfer to Ukraine has been updated. For the first time, it includes 90 unmanned aerial vehicle detection systems, an additional 31 million rounds of ammunition for fire arms, and an increased number of Zetros trucks prepared for delivery, from 52 to 94.
In early August, the German government reported that it had sent two launch units of the Patriot air defence system to Ukraine.
Germany sent to Ukraine the Patriot air defence system, including missiles, in April 2023. Each system includes a radar, command post, and up to eight launchers, each equipped with four missiles.
Furthermore, Ukraine also received another Patriot system from the United States and additional launch units from the Netherlands.
