The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to the recent anti-Ukrainian statements by the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, in an interview with the controversial pro-Trump television host Tucker Carlson.

Orban's suggested that the West should make a deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We should make a deal with the Russians on the new security architecture to provide security and sovereignty for Ukraine but not membership in NATO," said the Hungarian Prime Minister.

He also considers that Crimea will not return to Ukraine, calling it "completely unrealistic." He also rejects military support to Kyiv to stop the war.

In response, Oleh Nikolenko, a spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated on Facebook that the Ministry has "started to worry" because Orbán hasn't been featuring calls to stop backing Ukraine for a while.

"We don't know how it is in Hungary, but Ukraine does not trade its territories or sovereignty. The world will not trade either. The Russian leadership, no matter how many public advocates it employs, will inevitably be held accountable for all the harm done to Ukrainians," emphasised Oleh Nikolenko.

In the same interview, Orban also stated that he would consider any attack on the TurkStream gas pipeline an act of terrorism.

Earlier, Hungary's Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, complained that supporters of a "ceasefire" in Ukraine are being labeled as agents of Russia.
