Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said he received assurances of further support for Kyiv in the war against Russia from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a telephone conversation.

"During our call, US State Secretary Blinken reaffirmed: the US remains focused on helping Ukraine counter Russian aggression. Diplomatic, military, and financial support will last," Dmytro Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Kuleba stressed that Blinken and he condemned the Hamas attack on Israel, and discussed the dynamics of the conflict and the implications for global security.

Media reports indicate that US President Joe Biden will submit his request to Congress for additional funding for Ukraine and Israel next week.

Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin reportedly assured Zelenskyy during a meeting with him in Brussels on Wednesday, 11 October, that the US would continue to provide Ukraine with weapons.
