Israel Receives Shipment of US Armoured Vehicles for First Time since Hamas Attack
On Thursday 19 October, the Israeli Defence Ministry announced that they have received a batch of armoured vehicles from the United States, which will replace the one damaged as a result of hostilities against the Hamas group, which began on 7 October.
The Israeli Defence Ministry noted on Twitter (X) that "recently" the country received a cargo plane from the United States, carrying the first batch of armoured vehicles intended for use by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).

This batch of armoured vehicles is part of a larger purchase worth ILS 400 million (about €70.3 million) aimed at strengthening IDF equipment, the ministry added.
They noted that further deliveries of equipment from the United States will also contain armoured ambulances, heavy trucks and engineering equipment.
According to media reports, Israel has asked the United States for US$10 billion in emergency military aid.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden has stated that the United States is able to provide support to both Ukraine and Israel at the same time while maintaining an international level of defence capability.
