The UK has deployed its Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets to Poland to help defend the country against the threat of Russian aggression.
Mariusz Błaszczak, Polish Minister of National Defence pointed out on Twitter that UK pilots, jointly with Polish F-16 crews, will patrol the country's airspace.
"This is the result of my talks with the UK Defence Secretary. Together, we guarantee security," Błaszczak added.

Earlier, UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said during a speech at the Conservative Party congress that two UK fighter jets were to protect Poland, where parliamentary elections are due soon, from Russian interference.
The secretary also stated that under Rishi Sunak's leadership, the Conservatives are putting the UK "at the very heart of NATO".
Grant Shapps has been at the helm of the UK MoD since September 2023, replacing Ben Wallace.
