Ukrainian Military Personnel Take Part in International Navy Training in UK
Ukrainian Navy sailors are participating in the Joint Warrior-23-II multinational training, which began on Monday.
As Ukraine’s Navy Command press service reported, the training takes place within the UK territorial waters, with the participation of the British troops, as well as ships from the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Ukraine.
The crews are practising direct execution of tasks and interoperability with mine countermeasures units representing partner countries.
"In addition, issues of planning and conducting mine countermeasures under NATO standards are being worked out. The goal is to gain experience of acting in an international environment during joint multinational operations," the Navy added.
British Army engineers developed a training programme for Ukrainian civilian engineers to protect the energy sector from Russian attacks this winter.
