European Commission Condemns Anti-semitic Pogroms in Dagestan
The European Commission has strongly condemned the anti-Semitic rally at the airport in the city of Makhachkala, Russia
"We condemn all anti-Semitism in the strongest possible terms. The European Commission has taken many steps to support efforts to combat anti-Semitism. I believe there can be no doubt about that," said Stefan de Keersmaecker, European Commission Spokesman, commenting on the pogroms involving the search for Jews at the Makhachkala airport.
Earlier, NATO said the riots in Dagestan's Makhachkala airport yesterday, 29 October, were unfavourable to the Kremlin and were a manifestation of Russian society's radicalisation.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that the events at the Makhachkala airport in Russia are "deeply disturbing".
Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a large meeting with security forces, the prime minister and parliamentarians on Monday, 30 October, in response to the Makhachkala riots.
