The Russian ambassador was summoned to the Austrian Foreign Ministry in connection with a missile attack on a cafe in the village of Hroza, Kharkiv Oblast.

"Russia’s Ambassador in Vienna was just summoned because of yesterday’s heinous rocket attack on a village in Kharkiv Oblast, claiming dozens of innocent lives. Attacks on civilians are a war crime. Those responsible must be held accountable," Austrian Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter (X).

The day before, the Austrian Foreign Ministry called for fair punishment for the strike on the village of Hroza, which it called a "blatant violation of international humanitarian law" by Russia.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stressed that Russia's recent missile strikes and the massive loss of civilian lives are yet another reminder of why it is important to maintain and strengthen international support for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, former UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace called on Germany to unblock the supply of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine following the mass civilian deaths in Hroza.
