The Prime Minister of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė, has arrived on a visit to Ukraine.

Šimonytė said on Twitter (X) that first she honoured the memory of Ukrainian defenders who died in the war started by Russia. The official posted the relevant photos.

"At my first stop in Ukrainian Kyiv today, I paid respects to men and women who sacrificed their lives defending the most fundamental rights of a nation: to exist and to live in freedom. They gave their lives to also defend all of us," Šimonytė said.

The Prime Minister emphasised that the only way to achieve lasting and just peace is by helping Ukraine win as soon as possible, regain its full territorial integrity, serve international justice, and rebuild stronger.

Earlier, on the 10th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, Šimonytė stressed that the EU family is incomplete without Ukraine.

Reportedly, a new military aid package containing 3 million 7.62×51 mm rounds, remote detonation systems and winter equipment arrived in Ukraine from Lithuania.

On 17 November, the Ministry of Defence of Lithuania announced the supply of a new military aid package for Ukraine.
