Slovak hauliers have resumed the blockade of lorry traffic through the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint.

"According to the information received at 16:10 from Slovak border guards, the members of the hauliers’ union of Slovakia blocked lorry traffic through the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint.

The hauliers limit the movement of lorries heading from Ukraine to Slovakia. The lorries leaving Slovakia are not blocked at the moment. There is no information about exceptions for some categories of cargo and the time frame of the action," Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said in a commentary for Ukrainska Pravda.

Demchenko added that as of now, 1,263 lorries are currently in an electronic queue for leaving in the direction of Slovakia in front of the Uzhgorod checkpoint that is adjacent to the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint.

The passage of cars and buses is carried out as usual.
