US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has responded to the large-scale missile attack by Russian occupation forces on a number of Ukrainian cities.

Brink posted on Twitter (X) a screenshot of air raid alerts on her smartphone.

"This is what Ukrainians see on their phones this morning: and as a result, millions of men, women, and children are in bomb shelters as Russia fires missiles across the country," she wrote.

Brink stressed the need to continue funding Ukraine as it fights Russian aggression.

"Ukraine needs funding now to continue to fight for freedom from such horror in 2024," the ambassador said.

Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine on the night of 28-29 December. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia and other cities came under fire.

The Ukrainian Air Force stated that the Russian Federation had used almost all types of the weapons available to it.
