Friday, 8 December 2023

The German government has pledged another military aid package to Ukraine, which includes ammunition and reconnaissance drones.

As the German government’s press service reported, the new package includes the following:

  • 26,000 155-mm artillery rounds
  • 1 LUNA NG reconnaissance system
  • 10 VECTOR reconnaissance drones with spare parts
  • 6 border patrol vehicles
  • 8 Zetros trucks
  • 100,000 first aid kits and medical supplies
  • 70 40-mm automatic grenade launchers

During his visit to Kyiv, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius announced a new military aid package worth €1.3 billion. The package includes, among other things, four additional IRIS-T-SLM air defence systems, as well as 20,000 155-mm artillery rounds and anti-tank weapons.

Pistorius recently rejected accusations that Germany is sending insufficient assistance to Ukraine, which is defending itself against Russia.
